Justin Waite is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Longwood, FL who attends Lake Brantley. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.93 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down, gains ground well into his throws and has solid fundamental footwork, quick release, gets on the side of his throws but is accurate when on top. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide base with a high hand load, has a short and direct swing, flashes some extension through contact on his pitch, works the middle of the field and gets the ball air, can be more consistent getting off his back side, some hitting projection with additional strength. Also pitched, short rocker step to start, compact arm stroke from a tight 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 78, also threw a 73-75 mph two-seamer that had good sink and had a change up effect. Threw a soft curveball as his breaking ball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
