Jesse Soberal Jr is a 2030 OF/RHP with a 5-6 180 lb. frame from Tomball, TX who attends Tomball. Medium sturdy frame with good muscular development and time to continue refinement. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.27 seconds. Primary position outfielder, getting to the ball with urgency and organizing himself into a big crow hop to release. Gets the glove out front with a deeper funnel and clean transfer to throw. Strong feeds back to the infield up to 85 mph with accuracy. Reps on the infield as well, moving deliberately through his angles with similar glove action here. A bit higher in his legs as he fields and gets rid of the ball creating throws up to 84 mph across the diamond. RHH starting with a medium and slightly open stance, high handset in front of body and a bigger hanging leg lift to build his timing. A touch of barrel wrap with a small hitch but knows how to get the barrel through the zone with barrel feel and loud impact. Pull side lofted power, strong in the hands getting the ball elevated with relative ease and swung the stick well in live game action. Solid projection with this two-way athlete.
Secondary position RHP, working from a hybrid windup and abbreviated leg lift before breaking into a deeper inline arm path and accelerating through an over the top arm path. Deliberate rhythm to his delivery, working his front side uphill in transition to foot strike. Some cutting action to his fastball that reached 81 mph. showing emerging overall command of the zone. Bigger curveball with rolling shape currently in the low-60s and more to come with further development.
