Orlando Oates is a 2028 SS/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Fontana, CA who attends Aquinas. Medium athletic build with good length and plenty of strength potential. 7.09 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has soft hands and fields the ball cleanly and comfortably, has very good arm strength, changed arm slots well in game action, has the actions and tools to excel in the middle infield defensively. Right handed hitter, has a loose and easy tension free swing with very good extension through the ball, can turn the barrel over or stay behind it and drive it, present bat speed with more to come as he fills out and gets stronger. Good student.
