2025 PG 13U National Showcase
Ashten Aguailar is a 2030 C/SS with a 5-8 175 lb. frame from Ventura, CA. Physical frame with some strength present and more to project on. Primary catcher, sets up in a side saddled stance and gets out of the crouch with some urgency. Tends to receive the baseball deep before working into a shorter arm path near the near. Has some young arm speed with good accuracy to the right-side of the bag. Recorded arm strength up to 71 mph with a pop-time of 2.14 sec. Switch-hitter with a similar set-up on both sides, starts in an even stance with a high back elbow and high hand set-up. Utilizes a small toe-tap trigger for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Rotates his hips with intent. Flashed some strength to the pull-side from the right-side. Showed a shorter stroke with a contact approach from the left-side. Posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. Excellent student. Selected to play in the 2025 13U PG Select Festival.
