Ryan Johnson is a 2030 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Alpharetta, GA who attends Cambridge. Taller lean build with wiry present strength and all sorts of room to add physicality. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.34 seconds. Primary position infielder, showing feel for the speed of the game and understanding angles as he works through his reps. Plays a touch high in legs but sticks his nose on the ball and controls the leather well. Solid and emerging arm strength with accuracy across the diamond and feeds up to 82 mph. Solid round of infield. Secondary position RHP, working with a full windup and belt high leg lift to load over the rubber. Hands break at the belly leading to a standard inline arm path before accelerating through a lower 3/4 arm angle. Transitions down the slope well in his base and creates an unusual look for additional deception. 3-pitch mix starting with a running FB up to 78 mph, backed up with a sweeping SL in the low-60s and a contact deadening CH with tumbling action in the low-60s as well. RRH starting with a narrow and upright stance, tighter handset with quiet pre-pitch rhythm and a small stride to get moving. Tying himself up a bit early in the BP round but got extended at the end showing his best bolts on a line up the middle. Leverage here with projectable power on the horizon and collected several base hits in game action including a double down the left field line.
