2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (26-27 Grads)
Joshua Angulo is a 2027 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-4 240 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends Santiago. Big and physical build with plenty of present strength. Primary first baseman with solid footwork and accurate arm on throws. Made all the plays cleanly. Secondary outfielder with solid arm strength. Fields off front foot and carries some momentum through. Full arm action and comes through from an over-the-top slot. Also threw on the mound. The left-handed pitcher works from the stretch only from the third base side of the rubber. Hands start at the belt before a belt-high leg lift and comes through from a high three- quarter arm angle. Slight cut on the upper-70s-to-low-80s fastball that was up to 82. Curveball int he upper-60s with some depth and a change-up with similar cut action in the mid-70s. Threw strikes and got outs. Left handed hitter starts from an upright base with a high handset and utilizes a big leg lift. Hard liners to the pull-side. Best contact came to the left-center gap. Strength in the swing. Exciting player with two-way upside. Good student.
