Evan Erickson is a 2026 IF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Highland Mills, NY who attends Monroe Woodbury. Medium build with well-proportioned strength present and projection remaining. Primary shortstop, gets a good first step on the baseball and takes quick routes to it. Stays behind the backhands and picks the ball cleanly. Has plenty of lateral range and quickness in the shoulder. Recorded arm strength up to 87 mph on throws across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, starts in an even, upright stance with a low hand set-up. Utilities a leg lift trigger for timing before working into a lofted bat path. Has plenty of quickness in the hips and hands. Produced fairly consistent contact to the pull-side. Generates easy strength and leverage at the point of contact. Projects for more power with additional strength. Posted an exit velocity of 86 mph. Ran a 7.63 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
