Gregory Thielen, Jr is a 2021 2B/C with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Arbor View. Recorded a 7.78 second sixty-yard dash time. Small, compact frame with plenty of room to add strength. Primary second baseman with quick footwork into and through the fielding process, clean funnel out in front and a quick release. Shows ability to adjust arm slots when necessary and displayed arm strength up to 77 mph across the diamond. Secondary catcher; stays low to receive with two-piece movement towards his target, while incorporating a fairly quick mid-line transfer into a quick arm stroke to throw. Developing arm strength on his throws with some refinement needed behind the plate. Right-handed hitter that hits from an open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and hover trigger. Repeatable swing mechanics with direct swing path, feel for the barrel and solid gap-to-gap power. Excellent Student.
