2023 Florida Workout Showcase (Friday)
Gabriel Carvajal is a 2024 3B/1B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Southwest Miami. A medium frame and build with some athleticism present. Ran an 8.14 60-yard dash. Primary corner infielder. Threw 76 mph across the infield on a good flight with a clean arm action working into release. Made a good transfer with a clean exchange making accurate throws to first. Had a loose arm and shorter arm action, with accurate throws. Also worked out as a first baseman with a clean glove and clean feeds to second. Throws are accurate and on-line. Had good footwork around the bag and quick turns on his feeds. Adjusted slots well too. A right-handed hitter with slightly open feet, using a slight heel turn to get into his leg lift trigger. Has higher-set hands and a low back elbow. Works through the zone with bat speed and good barrel whip. Makes an inward move with a good feel to drive the ball pull-side, especially back into centerfield. Had good strength to get the hands deep and drive through for good results. Good student. Named to 2023 Florida Workout TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
