Matthew McCliman is a 2025 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Eastvale, CA who attends Elite Charter Academy. Lengthy frame, in the outfield showed active feet going to get the baseball with accurate arm. On the dirt, he tended to wait back a bit but generated decent throws across the diamond especially from deep in the hole. He swung it with a wide base with a good weight shift that was on time and in rhythm. The approach is hard through the middle getting good extension with lots of feel for barrel. On the mound, drop and drive mechanics to pair with a three quarters slot and short arm action. Still developing a feel to pitch but produces some arm side run to the fastball that gets in on the right-handed hitters (74-76). The breaking ball was a developing curveball that registered between(64-66) got some swing and miss. Gains a decent direction and works down the plane well. 7.37 60-yard. Outstanding student.
