Austin Weiss is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Rockville, MD who attends Georgetown Prep. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a lean build, some present strength with additional room to fill. Left-handed pitcher, simple operation on the mound and incorporates athleticism well; fast arm working to a lower three-quarters release point. Worked to the glove side with comfort, held 91-94 mph on the heater well throughout; showed a two-seam fastball that proved to be a true offering. Slider comes out of the same tunnel up to 79 mph and lands it well, flashes sweeping life through the zone. High upside on bump. Deliberate tempo to approach in the outfield, similar low slot on throws, plays under control, gets rotational in release at times. Left-handed hitter, medium base with open stance, bat head starts on shoulder. Fast hands with real bat speed through the zone, physical strength plays well to incorporate the ball with authority when squared, can impact the other way. Good student. Verbal commitment to Maryland. Selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
