Jorge Richiez is a 2022 C/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Homestead, FL who attends Miami Southridge. Large frame with strong, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.64 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance with high hands and back elbow, shorter stride, head moves through load and stride, lift to path, front side opens early and stays open, uphill swing with rotational torso. Worked out behind the plate, stiffer out of crouch in lower half, stationary feet, rises to throw, clocked up to 67 mph on throws. Also pitched, side step into gather, medium-length arm stroke to higher slot, all-arm operation, fastball worked 68-71 mph and straight, showed curveball with slow depth. Very good student.
