Winston Smith is a 2023 OF with a 5-10 187 lb. frame from Wilmington, NC who attends Emsley A Laney. Medium frame with present strength and good muscular thickness. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Outfielder with deliberate actions to the ball and working the glove off to the side. Methodical transfer to the midline as he squares up and uses short arm path on throws. Fairly accurate throws and reached peak velocity of 75 mph. RHH starting from open and narrow stance shifting weight from front leg to back to load. Holds hands out front and a bit low to get on plane. Rotational approach to hitting, works the bottom of the ball but did display online hard contact when not steep on path to ball. High level performer in the classroom.
