Sir Jamison Jones is a 2024 C/1B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Blue Island, IL who attends St. Rita Of Cascia. It’s a strong and durable catcher’s build with strength throughout and that looks the part behind the plate. Ran a 7.19 60-yd dash. On throwdowns flashed some quickness out the crouch with an efficient/compact exchange. Arm showed quality strength topping at 82mph working short out the glove with quickness to release. At the plate, keeps it simple with minimal moving parts in the lower/upper half. Rocks back slightly and gets onto his frontside a tad in his forward move. There’s easy strength to the hands that flashed advanced bat speed working the barrel on a short/direct path. Jones impacted several over 100+ EV throughout his BP round showcasing some advanced present/future power. Verbal commitment to Illinois State.
