Dominic Velardi is a 2024 SS/2B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from West Caldwell, NJ who attends James Caldwell. Velardi works from a larger, strong build that produces a lot of power. Primary shortstop, showcased athleticism and lateral range with the glove, showed some arm strength across the diamond. Right handed hitter, started in a wider base with a high back elbow, utilized his strong hands, consistently impacted baseballs with aggression towards the middle of the field, effortless stroke. Recorded an exit velocity of 80 mph. He barreled up a fastball to the left-center field gap during a live at-bat. Ran the fastest thirty-yard dash of the day, recording an impressive 3.63. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
