Joey D'Alessandro is a 2028 1B/RHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Sewell, NJ who attends Gloucester Catholic. Thick and strong build. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a toe tap rock back load, deep late hand load that creates length, has strength in his swing and can impact the ball when his timing comes together, bat projects with adjustments. Primary first baseman on defense, moves well and turns well for his size, can get his glove down sooner, full arm actions with enough arm strength for the position. Took a turn on the mound, works from a full wind up with a 3/4's arm slot, repeated his mechanics well and threw strikes. Fastball topped out at 83 mph with a bit of running life. Threw a short slurve like breaking ball as his off-speed pitch. Pitched to contact and had an effective outing. Excellent student.
