2021 Summer Northeast Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Vito Demonte is a 2022 OF/RHP/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Xaverian. Demonte looked the part of a capable OF during his round, showcasing long athletic strides to the ball with clean footwork and a full arm action that generated velo and carry. He took that arm action onto the mound, where he used a strong lower half to pound the zone with a FB that topped 81 mph and had cutting movement. Demonte worked out of a 3/4 arm slot and was exclusively from the stretch. Offensively, Demonte started from a slightly open stance with high hands that got through the zone quickly. He flashed contact from gap to gap with his best swings going to right center field. Ran a 7.40 60 yard dash. Named to the 2021 Summer Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
