Stephen Ierides is a 2023 C/RHP, OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Seaford, NY who attends Seaford Senior. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength to frame and additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.62 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set in set up behind plate during drills, receives the ball out front, extra steps moving into release, gains some ground, shows arm strength on throws down to second base with accuracy, will continue to refine overall actions. Also pitched, full wind up with a leg lift up to belt; similar short arm action through back as behind the plate; fastball topped out at 73 mph, mostly true in life but worked around the zone; mixed a curveball which flashed some late tilt to it at 66 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a lower hand set at the plate. Handsy swing, stays compact and inside the ball with some quickness to hands, can keep implementing additional lower half; gets the barrel to the ball, best contact when working on a linear plane with line drive carry to all fields. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
