2023 13U/14U Mid-Atlantic Showcase
Brady Guzzie is a 2027 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Fairless Hills, PA who attends Conwell Egan Catholic. Long, lean and athletic frame with a high waist and plenty of room to physically mature. Primary outfielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set and real arm strength presently. Displayed smooth, fluid footwork through out the fielding process and transitioned well into release. Recorded arm strength up to 85 mph during drills. Secondary left-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with smooth, easy movements down the slope. Gathers on the backside using a slight hip turn into balance and exhibits good lower usage towards the plate. Worked steadily in the 81-83 mph range throughout and topped out at 84 mph from a clean three-quarters arm slot. Proficient strike thrower with tons of life to his fastball and exceptional feel for secondary offerings. Mixed in firmer, sharper slider with horizontal and vertical tilt to it. Landed it for strikes with ease, while replicated arm speed on his changeup that showed heavy fade to it. Ease of operation and projection will lead to more velocity in the near future. Left-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open base with tight hand set, high back elbow and subtle leg lift trigger. Whole field approach with loose, easy stroke and excellent feel for the barrel. Creates good lower half torque and whip to his barrel to impact the baseball with authority from gap-to-gap. Advanced approach with burgeoning power potential. High level two-way skill set with tons of physical projection remaining. Named to the 2023 13/14U Mid-Atlantic Showcase Top Prospect List.
