Derek Yormack is a 2027 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Merrick, NY who attends Bellmore JFK. Physical build with evident strength in the lower half. Ran a 7.93 sixty yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, flexible and mobile mover down the mound, longer arm action in the back, slow build through the delivery with a lower release height, effortless release with explosive life to the fastball up to 87 mph, breaking ball had big sweeping action and consistent finish, easy strike thrower with ability to spin in any count, gets swing and misses in and out of the strike zone. Arm strength also showed in the outfield with throws up to 91 mph in drills. Right handed hitter, wide base with a high back elbow and low hand set, rotational upper body swing, can manipulate the barrel to use the whole field, evident strength in the hands, makes tight and fast turns, on the barrel often in game action. Named to the 2023 14u Perfect Game Select Festival.
