Lucas Smith is a 2027 C/1B/3B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from McKinney, TX who attends Lovejoy. Large frame with lots of present strength. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a basic stance, receives the ball well and has pocket awarness, more step by step reactive actions, made very accurate throws both in game and in drills, can work into his throws more for additional arm speed/carry, 2.09 game pop, has skills that can be further developed. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow base with a big stride into contact, long and strong swing, tends to get grooved at times and hit around the ball, has barrel skills and has always hit in games. Excellent student.
