Diego Gonzalez is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 210 lb. frame from Baytown, TX who attends Sterling. Primary left-handed pitcher with a physical build. Starts out on the middle of the rubber and uses a high leg lift into a full 3/4 slot. Creates tough angles for hitters from the release. Went to a loose 1-7 breaking ball with some depth. Showed some good feel to really spin it. Also manned first where he fielded it cleanly and made accurate throws. Looks the part out there and fits the position well. Ran a 8.33 sixty. Left-handed hitter who starts out open with a high hand set and even base. Made solid pull side contact with easy strength out in front. Clears the backside and weight transfers well. Swings with good rhythm in the box and showed good feel to create leverage and launch the ball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
