Michael Peavy is a 2025 C/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends St. Pius X. A primary catcher with a medium build. Ran a 7.08 second sixty. Takes a measured approach in the outfield with a quick gaiters once he receives the ball. Shows an ability to get on top of the throws with arm strength that still allows him to produce carry to the bases topping out at 88 mph. Works with a free and easy delivery on the mound with good body control using the lower half well coming down the slope. Arm action is long while still showing arm speed and running the fastball up to 88 mph, sitting in the mid 80's with better control to the glove side of the plate. Spun the breaking ball well with over 2500 rpm on the mid 70's breaker working mostly top to bottom. Changeup as the third offering in the upper 70's doing a nice job killing the spin and creating short arm side run. Shows feel for three quality pitches with plenty of projectability to tap into moving forward. Right-handed hitter, starts with an upright stance using a simple stride to time up the swing. coils the upper half into the load before firing with intent. Showed power to the pull side with a BP home run. Impacts the baseball best when the connection in the upper and lower half is timed up through contact allowing the two to work in sync with one another. Excellent student. Named to the 2023 Sunshine South Showcase Top Prospect List.
