Lucas Strawn is a 2028 RHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Humble, TX who attends Summer Creek. Lean athletic build with some present strength and lots of physical projection remaining. Slow to fast delivery tempo with some energy at release, compact arm action with good arm speed through release. Fastball was in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 mph has been up to 89 mph this summer, low spin rate fastball characteristics with heavy sink at times. Threw a soft curveball as his secondary pitch, can develop more power and spin on this pitch. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Secondary outfielder on defense, tends to wait back on the ball, gets on top of the ball well with accurate carry. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a short stride into contact, downhill swing plane, flashed some strength in his hands. Outstanding student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
