2025 PG Florida Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Markham Lancaster is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Fort Myers. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.29 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, takes good routes to the ball and fields it cleanly off his front foot, longer arm action from a 3/4's arm slot, has some carry on his throws with developing consistency in his release. Left handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with good balance and a simple hand load, line drive swing plane with nice barrel control and consistent timing, has quick hands and some bat speed, will pull off his front side early at times, projectable hitting tools. Also pitched, has a long and loose arm action from a mid 3/4's arm slot, lands closed out front for a big cross fire angle to the plate, repeats his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with angle and hard sinking life at times that got under barrels. Slider has nice sweeping depth but still developing command of this pitch. Excellent student.
