2025 PG WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Max Sherrill is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 6-0 174 lb. frame from Kingwood, TX who attends Kingwood. Medium, projectable frame with solid current strength and plenty of projection to look forward to. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.02 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a medium traditional stance and deliberate in his footwork out of the crouch. Repeats mechanics well, clean midline transfer to solid, compact arm action. Strong throws on the bag up to 77 mph with a pop-time best 2.08 seconds. Reps on the infield as well, showing smooth glove work getting it out early. Midline funnel, with compact arm action here leading to throws up to 84 mph across the diamond. Outfield reps moving well to the ball with good footwork, working the glove out front and showing ripping throws up to 88 mph to the bags. RHH working from a medium inline stance with a high handset and high back elbow using a short knee lift trigger to get on time. Emerging hand speed, showing barrel accuracy and impacting the ball to the pull side with regularity. Good follow here with offensive projection who is also an outstanding student.
