Rocco Bucci is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 5-8 180 lb. frame from Lewis Center, OH who attends Olentangy. Big and compact build with very good present strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a high hand load, gets into his strong lower half very well to create torque and lift, lots of present bat speed, nice extension through contact, stays on time and has good rhythm to his swing, ball came off the barrel hard and often, mid field to pull side approach, stood out as a hitter. 6.86 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves to the ball well and rounds it, longer arm action with good strength, tends to throw uphill at times, makes accurate throws. Also pitched and has two-way potential. Works both from the stretch and wind up, high 3/4's arm slot with a long and loose arm action. Fastball topped out at 87 mph with some carry up in the zone. Curveball and slider were both quality pitches, slider had 2500+ rpm and nice biting tilt, change up had hard diving action. Filled up the zone and can sequence his pitches. Good student.
