2025 PG Sunshine Northeast Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Xavier Santos-Olson is a 2027 C/1B with a 6-4 220 lb. frame from Port Chester, NY who attends Iona Prep. Extra big and strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a high hand load, some crouch into his swing, longer rotational swing with a pull side approach, has the strength and extension in his swing to lift and drive the ball, projects if he can continue to get his repetitions and shorten his approach. 7.19 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in a spread side saddle stance, has some lower half quickness, present arm strength and makes accurate throws. Also worked out at first base but showed some third base actions, glove worked well and showed nice footwork getting into position, continued to make accurate throws. Has lots of tools and skills to develop if he doesn't get too big. Excellent student. Named to the PG Sunshine Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.
