Matthew Contreras is a 2028 C/OF with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends North Gwinnett. Recorded a 7.01 second 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a medium frame and lean athletic build, offset feet, decent direction and accurate on throw downs, quicker transfer, athletic out of the crouch, around the bag with all reps, developing arm strength but has solid fundamentals and there's a good chance it improves with size and arm strength. Secondary outfielder, compact arm action, good mover for age with a solid arm, works through it, double pat, has an idea out there as well with good accuracy on throws, solid fundamentals overall. Right-handed hitter, even and square base, high hands and back elbow, natural setup, working to lift it consistently to pull with some impact, stuff here to project on given the short swing and current athleticism. Nice arm for age and will continue to get faster, intriguing defensive skillset.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
