Joel Vargas is a 2028 OF/RHP with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from San Diego, CA. Athletic mold with room to add. In the outfield, he shows advanced actions with rhythm through the catch point and into the motion. Throws have advanced carry for the age and were accurate to both bases. In the infield, the athleticism shines through in his lateral actions. Glove funnels well. Arm is accurate with strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, medium base, and high back elbow. Smaller load creates separation. Fires the lower half hard to create torque that plays through the barrel. Violent through impact. Stand out bat speed with ability to split the gaps in hurry. On the mound, its an athletic delivery with clean stroke. Missed bats with the two pitch mix. Solid projection as a whole, 7.04 60-yard. Named to the 2024 14U Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
