2025 PG Jr. National Showcase
Jett Walters is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Berkeley Prep. Big and physical athletic build with good present strength. 6.54 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has a high release on his throws and gets on top of them well, can smooth out his footwork into his throws, high level run and throw tools. Right handed hitter, starts from a narrow base with a knee lift trigger and good shift into contact, has bat speed and impacts the ball, pull to mid field contact, lived on the barrel and was very consistent with his timing and barrel path. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch on the third base side of the rubber, quick leg raise with good drive down the mound and back side release, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side life. Threw both a big breaking mid-70's curveball and a short cutter like slider, also killed the spin well on his change up. Threw strikes with all his pitches and has mound potential. Good student.
