2025 PG Sunshine West Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Paul Shanabarger is a 2026 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 195 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Great Oak. Primary RHP with a physical frame with good length. Showed a strong lower half throughout his delivery and looks durable out there throwing from a high 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 86 and played firm with 4-seam movement. Worked East to West with slight arm side tail at times. Repeats the delivery and motions well overall. Curve mixed in at 71 but will need to be more consistent with this pitch moving forward. Curve showed 11-5 shape with depth. Curve will get better with more polish. Also played outfield fielding it out front and shuffling into his throws. Was up to 83 from there with good carry and accuracy behind throws. Showed some feel from the outfield in general. Also ran a 7.56 sixty. Right-handed hitter with a wider upright base. Uses a medium sized leg lift and stride into contact for timing and rhythm. Can impact it hard out front with bat speed. Pull-side power projects. Good Student. Named to TP list.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
