Delton Prinze II is a 2022 OF/LHP with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Los Angeles, CA who attends Junipero Serra HS. Delton is a gifted athlete who shows commendable two-way skills that should allow him the opportunity to play at the next level. In addition to his very noticeable ability on the diamond, Delton is also a solid achiever in the classroom. He ran an impressive 6.94 60 yard dash. A primary outfielder, Delton has, most notably, an athletic presence. He utilizes a deliberate and measured approach to defense. It works for him well. His glove plays and he makes a routine transition to a 78 mph arm that gets his throws on line and to the base admirably. Solid OF prospect. Delton also took a turn on the mound. His operation is very simple and sure. He utilizes his long and loose levers really well. There is some sink and arm side run to his 74-76 mph fastball. He shows plus command and control of his heater that he throws to both edges of the plate. His 63 mph breaking ball is more of a hybrid. It shows slider action with tighter break and curveball action with more traditional over the to break. His ability to shape his breaking pitch a couple of different ways is a bonus. At the plate, Delton is not afraid to cut it loose. He doesn't get cheated at all. He shows sound barrel ability and flashed plus raw power. He has a chance to be a middle of the order run producer with his swing action. Delton has the ability to be a two-way guy at the next level. His tools project and his obvious "want to" is inspiring. He'll make a small college a plus guy for four years.
