2021 Northwest Prospect Showcase
Jett Reed is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Puyallup, WA who attends Puyallup. Long and slender frame with plenty of space to grow and mature into. Primarily pitcher who also worked in the outfield during the showcase. In the OF, fielded the ball wide in the lower and athletic while attacking the baseball. Utilized a big hop and times it with a long wide arm utilizing a lot of effort from the arm and torso to make throws. Will need to improve accuracy for throws from the outfield. Offensively the left-handed swing starts from a wide stance with a small toe-tap gather keeping the hands deep. Able to rotate off the backside and keeping hands tight on the turn showing a simple swing that was able to drive the ball through the middle. Can continue to work on being quieter into the front side and allow the barrel to unload with the top hand working under the baseball. Baseline skills along with space on frame to grow into a solid player. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
