Austin Graffius is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Casa Grande, AZ who attends Casa Grande Union. Ran a 7.81 second sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher with a lean projectable build. Starts with a side step as the hands work up one rate head, leg lift above the belt as the delivery shows a more methodical pace. The fastball sat 75-78 mph working to both sides of the plate with a long arm action up to a high three-quarter arm slot. Keeps the slider on a horizontal plane though the hitting zone in the mid 60's and showed the ability to create depth on the changeup when he gets good extension. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base, using a simple load to trigger the swing. Has very little weight shift into contact with a compact bat path attacking the inside part of the ball and allowing contact to all fields. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
