2023 Northeast Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Tony Kownacki is a 2024 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Bordentown, NJ who attends Northern Burlington. Kownacki flashed some arm strength working exclusively from his OF spot on the day, topping out at 82 mph with max effort mechanics and accurate throws around the bag. He has further room to control the body through release and keep the front shoulder closed a split second longer. Offensively, the lefty started from an even base with a high hand set and high back elbow with lift present in the bat path. He displayed evident strength in the hands and settled into his round nicely with impact gap to gap. Posted an exit velo of 76 mph. Ran a 5.06 forty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
