Alex Rose is a 2025 C/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Oakton, VA who attends Oakton. Big frame with good present strength, solid athleticism and excellent projection for a young athlete. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.41 seconds which is fine for a power oriented backstop. Primary position C, working from a higher stance, squared up to the plate. Clean glove work and good short midline transfer as he creates clean lines with his footwork. Arm strength is present and really played well, showing carry and accuracy up to 76 mph and a pop time best of 2.09 seconds. RHH using an even and balanced stance sitting strongly in his base and a small toe tap trigger. Good handset at the shoulders and displayed good hand speed. Loud barrels when in the middle of the field and showed natural ability to lift the ball with the strength to back it up. Durable offensive catcher with a lot of projection left. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
