Cody Marx is a 2022 OF/RHP with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Kenmore, WA who attends Inglemoor. Medium frame with a lean build. Primary outfielder with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while closing to the baseball. Funnels the baseball out front and worked through exchange efficiently. Gets the baseball out of hand quickly and generated uphill carry to the bag at 72 mph. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and quick leg lift trigger. Worked to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed solid feel for the barrel with the bat speed to split the gaps when squared. Also pitched utilizing a side step to medium leg lift delivery. Released from a three-quarters slot created some arm side run with a fastball that topped at 71 mph. Curveball showed 12/6 shape with looser spin and occasional depth. Curveball showed best depth when maintaining arm speed through extension. Good student.
