Jake McKinney is a 2025 RHP/1B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Mount Juliet, TN who attends Friendship Christian. Primary right handed pitcher with a lengthy athletic frame with some strength present.Starting from a 3B side windup with a coiled, belt-high lift that leverages the slope of the mound. His delivery features a full arm swing through the back at a high 3/4s slot with some looseness within the arm stroke. At times he would switch to the stretch with no runners on to tighten up his delivery. The fastball which topped at 86mph presented occasional arm side run in the zone at times. Mckinney mixed in a tight two planed breaking ball that he went to late in count for Ks. Mckinney a projectable arm with a few slight adjustment to the operation will see an uptick in velocity going forward. He is a very good student in the classroom.
