James Gibson is a 2026 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Boyds, MD who attends Landon. Medium, athletic frame with a good amount of room and time to continue adding strength. Recorded a 7.61 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, aggressive on the charge, fields the ball cleanly off of his front foot, quick transfer and compact arm action. Ball comes out of the hand well with true flight directly to the bag. Has arm speed and was very accurate, recorded throws up to 83 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly open front side, his hands tight to his body, and a high back elbow. Has bat speed and loose hands, showed the ability to hit the ball all over the field. Solid foundational swing to continue building onto as he gets stronger and older. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works with a quick tempo and from a full delivery. Side steps to a belt high lift, medium arm stroke with present arm speed. Arm works well to a three-quarters slot, fastball showed tons of arm-side life, up to 80 mph (2030 RPM). Slider was spun well off the fastball plane, up to 73 mph (2259 RPM). Great student. Named to 2022 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
