Johnny Parkinson V is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends The First Academy. Features a smaller, wiry build. Ran a 7.99 60-yard dash. Worked out on the infield and at catcher. Displayed a higher setup behind the plate. Still developing explosiveness out of crouch. Showed quality accuracy when in-sync. Recorded a 2.19 pop time. Sound glove actions were shown on the infield. Range profiles best for a corner spot. Reached 69 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an open base stance with a tight hand setup. Swings on a downhill path. Has feel for the barrel with an approach geared middle-to-pullside. Continuing to add strength would help generate more power. Right-handed pitcher. Throws form a high 3/4 slot. Has intent down the mound but will lose posture at times. Fastball sat 62-65 mph. Can throw it for strikes consistently. Paired it with a developing, mid-50's curveball. Excellent student.
