2025 PG Sophomore National Showcase (2028 Grads)
Pryce Pinkins is a 2028 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Oxford, MS who attends Oxford High. Big athletic build with long limbs and lots of room to get stronger. Works from a multi-part upper body delivery with lots of moving parts to sync up, arm action is clean and loose from a high 3/4's arm slot, tends to spin off and recoil on release, lots of elements to simplify as he matures but the arm works well. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with downhill angle and low spin heaviness down in the zone, will generate lots of ground ball contact when he learns to stay down in the zone consistently. Flashed the ability to get on top of his curveball with 12/6 shape, has some spin and bite. 7.16 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense. Right handed hitter, has a power approach with a big leg raise trigger and a long and strong swing, ball comes off the barrel hard when squared up, uphill swing plane. Excellent student.
