Deegan Aeilts is a 2025 C/OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Lincoln, IL who attends University High School. He has a medium frame with a long and lanky build and plenty of room to add strength. Ran the forty yard dash in 4.96 seconds. Primary catcher that starts in an even stance and showed nice quickness out of his crouch. He transfers the ball at his stomach and can cut down on his solid 2.19 second pop time to second by covering more ground towards second base on his throws. Secondary outfielder that fields the ball off his front foot well and gets rid of the ball quickly. He fires with a short arm action and showed solid accuracy to the base. Left-handed hitter that starts in a medium base and an upright stance with low hands and a low back elbow. He uses a leg lift trigger for timing and has a rotational swing through the zone. He has a gap-to-gap approach and made his best contact when he was out in front of the plate with his barrel. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
