Drew McNear is a 2024 OF/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Aurora, CO who attends Lutheran. Medium height with square shoulders that will fill out well, looks the part with his athletic build. Ran a 7.10 in the sixty yard dash. A primary outfielder, quick and direct first step. Solid approach and works through the ball to the crow hop. Clean exchange and the arm strength is developing. A right-handed hitter, starts even and remains balanced and linear through his process. On plane with a path that works through the zone, good timing and eye hand coordination. Hit a hard double to the pull side and barreled a line drive to the opposite field during game play. Also pitches, quick tempo with intent at release. Deceptive low 3/4 release and hides the ball. Breaking ball has late dart to it and solid shape for his slot. Attacks away. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
