Mac Barnette is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Atlanta, GA who attends Pace Academy. Primary right-handed pitcher with a big frame and strong build. Recorded a 7.55 second 60-yard dash time. Belt-high lift working from the stretch with a short takeaway and high 3/4 slot release. Slightly closed landing down the slope getting over his front side with high slot. Fastball up to 76 mph (1690 RPM) to both sides of the plate with curveball around 68 mph (1822 RPM) with slurve action and depth. Controlled delivery getting down the slope and ability to repeat. Secondary first baseman with a deep two-hand funnel and accurate throws across the diamond at 76 mph. Solid footwork around the bag with fundamental actions. Right-handed hitter with an even and open base with hands hands in the box. Knee-lift trigger stride to even with hands separating to a high back elbow slot. Level swing through the zone working the middle of the field. Excellent student.
