Gatlin Pitts is a 2024 SS/RHP with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Fairhope, AL who attends Bayside Academy. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 6.88 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has quick feet and gets in position to throw well, fields cleanly out front, long and loose arm action with big carry across the diamond, makes accurate throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow stance with a tight hand load, short and direct swing with limited extension through contact, pull side contact, will continue to improve as a hitter with better extension and ability to use his strength. Also pitched, works from the stretch with 3/4's arm slot, upper body delivery. Fastball worked mostly in the upper 80's and topped out at 90 mph, gets good arm side running life and gets on hitter's quickly. Flashed a hard and biting curveball with good power and tight spin. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
