Caden Borcherding is a 2027 C/MIF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Etowah. Solid build thats well advanced for the age. Primary catcher that shows the instincts and tools to do be a high level defender. Mechanically he sets up in slight side saddle crouch with quick feet and work towards the target upon reception. The arm strength showed up twice in the final day of the event, nabbing a pair of would-be base stealers. 2.00 pop time. Offensively, he profiles as a key run production bat both presently and down the road with excellent hand speed and power through the gaps. Simple process at the dish with calm load subtle kick. The bat translated well from a decent batting practice to in game production. Stand out perfomer both days. 7.57 60-yard. Named to the 2023 13u Select Festival.
