Sam Slovin is a 2020 C/1B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Northborough, MA who attends Algonquin. Large frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.06 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance, spread-out in box, high back elbow with hands above head, flat path through the zone, slashes at times, barrel gets under the ball frequently, shows ability to get the ball into the air. Worked out behind the plate, higher set, receives well, gains ground out front well, movement patterns are methodical but fundamentally solid, clocked up to 71 mph on throws. Excellent student.
