Gabriel Winans is a 2025 SS/RHP/3B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from North Richland Hills, TX who attends Birdville. Long and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. 7.45 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has smooth actions on defense, glides to the ball with long easy strides, has quick hands and good glove actions, comfortable changing his slots throwing, very good present arm strength and carry. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a hanging leg raise trigger, gets to his front side and gets extension out front, consistent pull side to mid field line drive contact, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and physical maturity. Also pitched, big side step start to his delivery, full arm circle in back leading to an over the top arm slot, lands closed out front, some energy at release. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with good downhill angle. Curveball was an effective pitch for him with good depth and a feel for throwing it for strikes, also flashed a straight change up. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
