Matthew Schroeffel is a 2026 3B/RHP/C with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.78 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, moves around well in the dirt and controls frame, hands play at the ball out front, sound exchange with present arm strength and carry across the diamond. Also pitched, starts in the middle of the rubber, side step moving into delivery and gathers on backside well; short arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Direct to the plate with mechanics, full finish over front side and fields position well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph and mixed a curveball up to 63 mph, worked around the zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; works inside the baseball and swings with intent. Short swing path through the zone while working on a linear plane, gets around the baseball at point of contact on occasion, incorporates strength well when extended out front with middle of field contact.
